Wednesday 21 September
Oh what a night. We were all in sync again, and this time were all awake at around 3:30am. The girls were singing to each other, and the ended up in the same bed, chattering away. Of course, being sisters, that couldn’t last, and soon enough they were shouting and wrestling with each other. After several hours, N sent S to sleep in with me, while he had her bed. He and L managed to get several hours sleep, and while S had an hour or so beside me. I didn’t get any more sleep at all, so gave up and did some serious googling.
The weather was very wet, with non-stop rain, much to the girls’ disgust, as it kept them inside. We did realise that we’d forgotten to pack a swimming costume for S, so we popped out to the Bayfair shopping mall to pick up a new one. Along the way, B and I discovered a lovely little shop full of stationery and knick-knacks. It was very tempting, but I managed to restrain myself and just took a few photos. I’ll be heading back there at some point though. 🙂
During my sleepless night, I’d been looking up local schooling options. B and G had suggested we consider private schools, but the only non-religious one was VERY expensive, and we decided to go with the state schools. N called the school to have a chat, and by the end of the call, the girls were all lined up to start on October 10th, after the school holiday which starts this Monday. We just have to pop into the school this week to collect the enrolment forms.
L will also be moving onto Intermediate school in the new year, so N rang them up and got that all sorted out too. It was a very productive day!
I tried desperately to stay away till at least 9PM in the hope that I’d sleep better.
