Everything is a question?

It’s funny that I never really noticed this before I went away, and then came back, but the whole Australian Question Intonation is really a thing.

I was in a shop the other day, and the assistant said “That’ll be nine dollars and eighty?”

I genuinely thought she was asking my opinion on her adding.

It’s a bit of a shocker to think that this is how the rest of the world hear my accent!
