It was a lovely day today. The sun was shining, the wind had died down, and it was really warm. So when the girls got home from school, I asked them if they wanted to go to the beach.
Squishy: “Yes! Let’s go!!”
Moodle: “Errrr… well…. I don’t know…”
Me: “Don’t be ridiculous. Get your swimming costume on, you’re coming too.”
So she took her book in the car for the drive across to the beach, Nana came too, and we had a lovely hour splashing in the breakers, in the warm spring sunshine.
At dinner, Moodle asked “Why did you ask if we wanted to go to the beach if you were just going to make me go?”
I didn’t really have an answer for that. But at least she admitted she’d had a good time.
